KTM Motor Slip Regulation, identified as MSR, is an electronic function that works alongside the MTC traction control, designed to maintain rear wheel stability during abrupt downshifts or when closing the throttle suddenly.
When engine braking torque becomes too high due to a sudden downshift or an abrupt throttle close, the ride-by-wire system opens the throttle valve just enough to prevent the rear wheel from slipping. Thanks to its integration with the MSC, this regulation also acts while the motorcycle is leaned over in a corner.

In use, the MSR provides greater stability during braking combined with downshifts and when entering corners with a closed throttle, by automatically acting on the throttle valve without the rider having to manage it manually.
