The KTM Track Kit is an electronic control unit update designed for those who take their bike to the circuit and want a behavior more geared towards competition, within the PowerParts range. Its activation is managed through an authorization code generated via the XC2 tool, so it is not a physical part installed separately, but a license that unlocks specific functions in the engine control unit.
Among the settings it includes is a traction control system with nine levels of anti-slip intervention, allowing the level of permitted slide to be fine-tuned according to riding style and road surface conditions. It also includes an adaptation in fuel intake management, a specific riding mode called “Track”, and a launch control feature designed to optimize traction when accelerating hard out of a corner. The anti-wheelie mode is disabled in this profile, leaving control of the front wheel in the rider's hands.
As a software update, the product's technical specifications include HOMNN_EU homologation, certifying its validity within the relevant regulatory framework for this type of electronic modification.
In everyday track use, this kit delivers a more aggressive and responsive mapping than the street setting, with throttle response and traction electronics designed to get the most out of the engine while still keeping a margin of safety on corner entry and exit, thanks to the granularity of the nine available traction control levels.
