KTM Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) is an electronic software function that works alongside traction control, designed to maintain rear wheel stability when the engine brakes more than desired.
The system works in the opposite way to traction control (MTC): if engine braking torque rises too much due to a sudden downshift or an abrupt throttle close, the ride-by-wire system opens the throttle valve just enough to prevent the rear wheel from slipping or locking up. Thanks to MSC, this regulation also remains active while cornering. The function is requested with an authorization code through the XC2 tool and carries HOMNN_EU approval.
The photo corresponds to the product's identification card, with the KTM logo in orange and black on a white background, in the format typical of PowerParts software activations.
In everyday use, it provides greater stability when downshifting abruptly or closing the throttle suddenly, both on straights and while cornering.
