This KTM skid plate is designed for those who ride offroad and expose the engine casing to impacts from stones, roots and falls on technical terrain. It is part of the PowerParts range and is fitted as a direct complement over the lower area of the engine.
It is made from high-strength aluminium, machined to achieve a design that fits precisely onto the engine block. The manufacturer states it has been thoroughly tested under the toughest offroad riding conditions, with top-quality finishes and an extremely robust fixing system that also allows for easy installation, with no complex operations.
The photograph shows an aluminium plate with a matte surface, a curved profile that follows the shape of the engine casing, and several machined anchor points along its edges for attachment to the frame.
Fitted to the bike, it offers the most effective protection for the frame and engine against impacts while riding offroad, reducing the risk of breakage or damage to the engine casing when the terrain gets tough.
