This KTM skid plate is aimed at those who race or train on dirt tracks and need to shield the lower part of the engine from impacts, stones and falls typical of offroad riding. It is fitted as an additional part of the PowerParts range onto the bike's engine casing.
Made from high-strength aluminium, its design aims for a precise fit with the engine block, so it stays firmly secured without interfering with the other components. The manufacturer states it has been thoroughly tested under the toughest offroad riding conditions, with top-quality finishes and an extremely robust fixing system that allows for easy installation.
The photograph shows an aluminium plate with a matte finish, shaped to follow the contour of the engine casing, with several machined anchor points visible around its perimeter.
Its purpose is to offer the most effective protection for the frame and engine, minimising the risk of damage to the engine casing when the terrain becomes demanding.
