The KTM Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) is an electronic function from the PowerParts range that controls engine braking torque, designed to maintain rear wheel stability during abrupt downshifts or when closing the throttle suddenly.
It is activated through the authorization code generator of the XC2 tool. The system works in the opposite way to the motorcycle's traction control (MTC): when engine braking torque is too high due to a sudden downshift or abruptly closing the throttle, the ride-by-wire system opens the throttle valve just enough to prevent the rear wheel from skidding. Thanks to MSC, this regulation also works while cornering.
The image corresponds to the official graphic representation from KTM PowerParts for this activation, in the brand's orange and black colors.
In use, this function provides greater control over the rear wheel when braking with downshifts and in situations where the throttle is closed suddenly, even while leaned over in a corner, reducing the risk of loss of traction.
