The KTM Adaptive Brake Light is an electronic system that reinforces the brake light signal in risky situations, designed to increase safety for the rider and for those riding behind on the road.
This high-end system detects a risky braking event based on the motorcycle's speed and deceleration values. When it identifies this situation, the brake light flashes intermittently until the brake is released, since a flashing light is perceived more quickly than a steady brake light, reducing the risk of a rear-end collision.
The photograph shows the product's identification holder with the KTM logo and the activation reference, as supplied for installation in the motorcycle's electronic control unit.
In use, the function activates automatically with every hard braking event, with no input needed from the rider, providing an extra visual warning to vehicles behind at the moment it is needed most.
