The KTM dongle is an electronic connector from the PowerParts range that, once plugged into the corresponding socket on the motorcycle, automatically activates ABS mode 1. It is designed for riders seeking ABS behaviour geared more towards off-road use, without having to navigate configuration menus on the instrument panel.
It is a compact electronic component that plugs directly into the connector provided in the bike's wiring, with no additional cabling or special tools needed for fitting. Its operation is automatic: simply having it connected is enough for the system to recognise ABS mode 1 every time the motorcycle is started.
The photo shows a small part with a sealed body and a simple finish, with the corresponding connector at one end, typical of the original electrical components KTM fits to its on-board electronics.
KTM recommends keeping ABS functions active when riding on public roads, reserving the ABS mode 1 enabled by this dongle for sections where less electronic intervention in braking is desired, particularly on the rear wheel.
