This heat protection kit is part of the KTM PowerParts range and is fitted in the silencer area to shield nearby components, such as the swingarm, rear wheel or rear bodywork, from heat. It is designed for riders who want to prevent exhaust heat from affecting sensitive components located in that area.
It is a piece formed from sheet metal, designed to act as a shield between the silencer body and the adjacent elements, reducing direct thermal radiation onto those surfaces.

In use, its function is to keep the heat generated by the silencer away from nearby parts, helping to preserve both the plastic and metal components located around it.
