The ISA40 M8x50 magnetic drain screw is the part responsible for closing the oil drain hole in your KTM's crankcase or reservoir, while also collecting any metal particles circulating through the lubrication system.
It is made of steel, with an ISA40 thread type, M8 size and a length of 50 mm, and incorporates a built-in magnet at the end that stays in contact with the oil. This magnet retains fine metal shavings and debris generated by internal wear, preventing them from recirculating through the engine or transmission.
The photo shows a screw with a metallic finish, with a hexagonal head for tightening with a wrench and the threaded shaft running its entire length; at the tip, the body housing the magnet can be seen.
Thanks to the built-in magnet, this drain screw helps keep the oil cleaner between changes, capturing metal particles that would otherwise remain in circulation within the lubrication system.
