The KTM heat protection, reference 64105979070, is a sheet metal part fitted next to the exhaust system to shield the nearby areas of the bike and the rider from heat, within the PowerParts range of exhaust spares.
It is made from formed sheet metal, with perforations spread across its surface that aid heat dissipation and reduce the part's weight, and it is secured using specific mounting points close to the section of exhaust it protects.
The photo shows a metallic-finish panel with a series of circular holes evenly distributed, curved in shape to follow the profile of the exhaust body or silencer it accompanies.
Once fitted in place, this heat protection reduces direct heat transfer towards the fairing and the area in contact with the rider.
