It is an injection-moulded piece made of rigid plastic, with a matte finish that resists exposure to dust, splashes and the small knocks typical of everyday motorcycle use. Its geometry features straight lines and a perimeter recess that fits with the rest of the assembly it belongs to, so the fit sits flush without visible gaps or burrs.
The photograph shows a black piece with a smooth outer surface and reinforcing ribs on the inside, along with the mounting points moulded directly into the body of the cap.
