The KTM 0.2 mm cylinder base gasket is the piece that sits between the cylinder base and the engine case, within the engine gaskets and seals category. Its function is to seal this joint while also setting the cylinder height relative to the crankshaft, an adjustment that on two-stroke engines directly affects the compression ratio and the timing of the transfer ports.
It is a flat shim of calibrated 0.2 mm thickness, precision-cut to match the exact outline of the cylinder base, including the coolant passages, transfer port openings and the mounting bolt holes. This type of gasket is supplied in different thicknesses so the compression ratio can be fine-tuned by combining several units or replacing the standard thickness.
The photo shows a flat, light-coloured part with a uniform finish on both faces and a clean-cut edge that faithfully follows the cylinder perimeter, with no burrs or visible irregularities along the edges.
Once fitted, it ensures proper sealing between the cylinder and the crankcase, preventing loss of compression and coolant, while also allowing fine adjustment of the piston's working height relative to the ports.

La entrega de motos se coordina directamente con el comercial durante la compra.
