KTM Engine Brake Control is a software function that lets you adjust the braking effect the engine transmits to the rear wheel when you roll off the throttle, aimed at riders who want to tailor the bike's behavior both on the road and off-road.
The setting is adjusted across 5 levels, from a very pronounced effect (+2) to an engine brake that is barely noticeable (-2), so the rider decides how much drag they want to feel during downshifts or when closing the throttle abruptly.
The image identifies the product through the KTM logo and the activation reference, as supplied for configuration from the motorcycle's instrument cluster.
In use, this function allows the engine brake to be softened in low-grip situations, such as on dirt tracks or wet surfaces, or increased for greater stability during hard braking, adapting the bike's response to each rider's style.
