This bleeder screw with cap is a KTM PowerParts replacement part used in the maintenance of the brake or hydraulic clutch system, at the point where air is purged from the circuit to ensure a firm feel at the lever or pedal.
It is a threaded metal bleed screw with an internal passage that allows fluid and air to escape during the bleeding operation, and it includes a protective rubber cap that keeps out dirt and moisture when not in use.
The photograph shows the metal body of the bleeder with its thread and head prepared for a wrench, along with the black rubber cap that presses into place over the open end, protecting it from dust in the surroundings.
Having this replacement part on hand allows the bleeder to be replaced when its thread or seat is damaged, or simply to replace a lost protective cap, keeping the hydraulic circuit free of contamination.
