This KTM 14x2.5 O-ring is a general-purpose sealing element used within the motorcycle's hydraulic and lubrication systems, fitted wherever two surfaces need to be sealed against the passage of oil, fuel or brake fluid.
It is a ring with a circular cross-section made from elastomer material, with a 14x2.5 size that defines its inner diameter and section thickness, designed to sit in the corresponding groove of the component it is fitted to and deform slightly under compression, achieving the seal.
The photo shows a black rubber ring with a smooth, glossy surface and a uniform round cross-section all the way round, with no visible marks or engravings, as is typical of this type of seal.
As this is a part that degrades over time and with heat, replacing it periodically at every disassembly prevents leaks and keeps the assembly it is fitted in properly sealed.
