This seal is a sealing component designed to prevent dirt from getting in and lubricant from leaking out at the point where it works, intended for anyone carrying out a precision repair or maintenance job on their KTM. It is a PowerParts spare with reference 60303966050, manufactured in a right-hand orientation, so it must be fitted on the corresponding side of the assembly.
Given its sealing function, it is built from an elastomeric compound with a sealing lip that works in direct contact with the shaft or component it protects, allowing relative movement between parts without leaks or the entry of particles.
In the photo you can see a small, circular part, with the sealing lip clearly marked on one of its edges and a smooth, uniform surface over the rest of the body, in the dark colour characteristic of the elastomeric material.
When fitted on the indicated right side, it performs its function as a tight seal, extending the life of the assembly by keeping the lubricant in place and dirt out of the mechanism.
