This KTM gasket is a sealing component from the PowerParts range, intended to replace the original gasket when a cover or engine duct is removed for inspection or repair. It is the recommended replacement part for anyone needing to guarantee an airtight, leak-free seal after mechanical work.
Its function is to prevent oil, coolant or gas leaks at the joint between two machined surfaces, conforming exactly to the contour of the part it seals. As a replacement component, it is recommended to always fit it new each time the joint is opened, since a reused gasket loses part of its sealing capacity.
The photo shows a flat gasket, cut to match the outline of the surface it must seal, with the corresponding holes for the fixing screws and the openings needed for fluid passage. Its thin, uniform profile allows it to fit perfectly between both mating faces.
