This wheel spoke is part of the spoke system that holds the rim to the hub on models fitted with spoked wheels, a common solution in enduro, motocross and trail bikes thanks to its light weight and ability to absorb impacts. Within the wheel parts category, it is a wear part that should be replaced when signs of fatigue, deformation or corrosion appear after demanding off-road use.
It is a metal component with a thin, elongated section, threaded at one end to accept the nut or nipple that tensions the spoke set against the rim. Its straight geometry and finish maintain even tension between hub and rim, spreading the radial and lateral loads the wheel receives while riding.
