KTM Nordlock M6 washers are a safety fastening element designed for points on the motorcycle where the bolted joint must withstand vibration and operating loads without loosening over time.
They correspond to the wedge-locking washer system, made up of two opposing washers with cams on the outer face and radial teeth on the inner face; when the assembly is tightened, the cams create a wedge effect that locks the joint and prevents it from loosening through rotation. The part carries HOMNN_EU European approval.
The photograph shows the two stacked washers, with a silver-toned metallic finish, the teeth and cam faces visible around the perimeter, and the central diameter prepared for an M6 bolt or stud.
In use, they provide an extra-secure fastening point in joints subject to vibration, compared with the behaviour of a plain washer without mechanical locking.
