This 21-inch rim protection band is a PowerParts spare part fitted inside the rim, between the rim and the inner tube or tyre, on off-road wheels.
It is made from rubber with a thickness of 22/2 mm, designed to cover the spoke heads and the inner surface of the rim, preventing the metal spoke ends or irregularities in the rim from damaging the inner tube during use.
The photograph shows a flexible, narrow-section band, black in colour with a smooth surface, with the curvature needed to match the diameter of the 21-inch rim.
Fitting it protects the inner tube from punctures caused by internal rubbing, a particularly important point on spoked wheels subjected to demanding terrain.
