It is made from injection-molded plastic, shaped to fit precisely onto the right-hand contour of the tank, incorporating the mounting tabs and anchor points needed for installation with the standard screws, with no adhesives or further machining required.

In daily use, this side cover restores the bike's original lines in that area and protects the side of the tank against scrapes and minor knocks typical of everyday handling.
