The KTM control flap lever is the element that transmits movement from the control mechanism to the exhaust valve flap, within the engine parts category for variable exhaust valve systems. It is the piece that connects the actuating cable or rod to the flap shaft, converting that movement into the rotation needed to open or close the exhaust port.
It is made from a single machined metal part, with a central hole for mounting onto the flap shaft and an anchor point at its end for the cable or control rod, so that movement is transmitted without play.
The photo shows an elongated lever with a metallic finish, with one end widened and drilled for attachment to the shaft, and the other, narrower end set up for anchoring the control.
Correct installation ensures that the control's travel is faithfully translated into the flap's rotation, maintaining the exhaust valve system's response as set at the factory.
