This spark arrestor insert is a replacement part for the exhaust system, aimed at those riding on trails or forest areas where limiting the emission of incandescent particles through the exhaust pipe is required. It is part of KTM's PowerParts range for the silencer.
It is an internal component that sits in the end section of the silencer, with a perforated body that traps the sparks generated by combustion before they reach the gas outlet.
The photo shows a cylindrical metal insert, with a mesh of holes distributed across its entire surface and a dark finish typical of parts exposed to high exhaust temperatures.
Fitting it allows riding in areas where a spark arrestor is mandatory, without having to give up the silencer already fitted on the bike.
