The KTM front wheel hub is the central component of the front end, the part that houses the axle bearings and provides the mounting point for the spokes and the brake disc. Within the PowerParts wheel and chassis range, this part is needed when the original hub shows wear on the bearing seats, play or damage after a fall, and must be replaced to keep the wheel working correctly.
It is made from machined aluminum, a material that combines structural strength with low weight, which is especially relevant for a part that spins constantly and takes radial and braking loads. The body features the cutouts and holes needed for the spokes to pass through, as well as the bearing seating surfaces on the axle and the mounting points for the brake disc.
The photo shows the typical finish of machined aluminum, with smooth sections alternating with lightening cutouts and radial holes arranged symmetrically around the central body. The disc mounting holes can be seen on one face, while the inside of the hub shows the seat prepared for the bearing.
In use, this part is what keeps the wheel turning true and stable on the axle, correctly transmitting loads between the spokes, the bearing and the brake disc during riding and braking.
