This KTM Wave brake disc is a part designed for those seeking high-performance braking, whether on track or in demanding road riding.
It is manufactured by combining an anodized aluminium inner ring with a high-performance stainless steel outer ring for brakes, joined by a floating mounting system that absorbs thermal expansion and prevents warping or vibration during braking. With a diameter of 320 mm and right-hand mounting, its design aims to maintain a precise bite point across the whole working temperature range, with no fading and constant braking power.
The photograph highlights the characteristic wavy profile of the Wave disc, with the outer ring in an orange finish and the anodized aluminium inner ring, along with the perforations that reduce weight and help dissipate the heat generated under braking.
In use, this disc allows for more precise braking modulation and requires less lever force to achieve the same power, delivering a race-inspired braking feel.
