The foot brake lever is the metal lever next to the right footpeg that the rider presses with the boot to transmit force to the rear brake master cylinder and, from there, to the caliper. This part, reference 61713950133 in the KTM original spare parts catalogue, is fitted as a replacement when the stock unit has bent, worn out or gone missing after a fall or impact.
It is a metal-machined component with a finish resistant to continuous exposure to mud, water, stones and road salts, conditions typical of the lower chassis area where this part operates. It features one end with the mounting hole to the swingarm, acting as the pivot point, and the opposite end with the boot-support area, sized to provide a firm and stable contact point during braking.
The photo shows an elongated, slightly curved lever, narrow in the body section and wider at the foot-support area, with a matte metallic finish that reveals its machining lines and the mounting hole at the pivot end.
Fitted in its original position, it allows precise operation of the rear brake and restores the pedal geometry and travel intended by the factory, which is especially relevant after an accident where the original part has been bent out of shape.
