This grommet belongs to the PowerParts range and is fitted at the points where the wiring harness passes through the chassis or fairing, protecting the cables from rubbing against the metal or plastic of the bodywork.
It is made from flexible rubber, a material that adapts to the movement of the cables and absorbs vibration at the pass-through point, preventing the cable insulation from wearing with use. Its ring shape, with a central hole and a surrounding lip, allows it to be pressed into place in the chassis hole.
The photo shows a black rubber part, circular in shape, with a lip that protrudes slightly so it stays fixed in the hole where it is fitted.
Once fitted in place, this grommet prevents the wiring from fraying or being cut at the pass-through point, extending the service life of the electrical system.
