The 30x36 shim is a precision component within KTM's PowerParts clutch spares, designed for anyone disassembling or servicing the clutch pack of discs and plates who needs to restore the original clearance of the assembly. It is a spacer piece fitted between other clutch components to adjust the installed clearance.
It is a flat, thin-profile metal plate, machined on both faces to provide uniform support. Its 30x36 millimeter geometry is calculated to fit precisely into the space it occupies within the clutch assembly, so that the final setting of the disc pack stays within factory specifications.
The photo shows a circular part with a recess or step on one side, with a plain silver metallic finish, polished and free of any color coating, typical of a machined part designed to work in direct contact with other metal components.
Fitted in position, this shim restores the correct clutch working distance after disassembly, preventing play that could affect lever feel or the setting of the disc and spring pack.
