The Akrapovic heat protection is a PowerParts component that covers the Akrapovic silencer to prevent contact with heat and protect it from impacts while riding, a solution also used by Factory Racing teams.
It is made from high-quality carbon, giving it great stiffness and strength with an extremely low weight. It expands very little due to heat and withstands continuous high temperatures without losing its properties. The finish is glossy and it carries HOMNN_EU approval.
The image shows a curved piece wrapping part of the silencer body, with the carbon fiber weave visible beneath a glossy varnish layer, in black with highlights.
In use, it protects the silencer from heat and accidental contact, as well as shielding it from falls, flying stones or branches while riding.
