This KTM side stand base extension is an accessory designed for those who regularly ride on soft terrain, such as sand or loose dirt, where the original side stand base tends to sink in. By increasing the support surface, it prevents the bike from losing stability when parked off asphalt.
It is made from aluminium with a natural, untreated finish, leaving the texture of the machined metal visible. It carries HOMNN_EU approval. Its silver colour corresponds to the natural tone of unpainted, unanodised aluminium.
The photograph shows a wide, flat profile part with the matte, slightly grainy finish characteristic of raw aluminium, designed to attach onto the existing side stand base and extend its footprint on the ground.
In use, this base extension spreads the bike's weight over a larger surface, reducing the risk of the side stand sinking in or the bike losing balance when parked on sand, loose gravel or soft ground in general.
