This wheel spoke is the element that connects the hub to the wheel rim, and it is the part replaced when one of them bends, loosens or breaks after demanding use. Within KTM's range of wheel spare parts, this reference corresponds to size M4.5x175, meaning a 4.5 millimetre thread and a length of 175 millimetres.
It is a metal rod threaded at one end, where the head that anchors to the hub sits, while the rest of the body remains smooth up to the point where the spoke is secured to the rim by its corresponding nipple. This design allows each spoke to be tensioned individually to adjust the wheel's centring.
The photo shows a straight, silver-coloured rod, with one end bent at an angle forming the anchor head and the threaded section visible at the opposite end.
Replacing the spoke with a part of the correct length and thread restores the wheel's original tension and centring, preventing vibrations and uneven wear on the rim.
