The KTM side stand is the support that allows the bike to be parked quickly, without needing to use the center stand. It is a spare part from the PowerParts catalogue, identified with reference A46003923044.
It features a metal construction with a black painted finish, giving it resistance against continuous use and exposure to the elements. The arm has a widened foot at its lower end, designed to spread the weight of the bike over the ground, and an anchor point at the opposite end for fixing it to the chassis.
The photograph shows the elongated, curved silhouette typical of a side stand, with the widened foot, the matte black finish and the spring visible at the pivot area, which makes folding and unfolding easy.
Fitted to the bike, it allows the bike to be held stable while resting on its side, with simple opening and closing thanks to the built-in return spring.
