The right-hand control cover gasket is a PowerParts replacement part fitted between the engine crankcase and the cover located on the right side of the engine block, sealing the joint to prevent oil leaks in that area of the engine.
It is a flat gasket, thin in profile and cut precisely to the shape of the cover, with the corresponding holes for the fixing bolts and for the internal components housed by that cover. This type of gasket is fitted directly between the two machined surfaces, ensuring uniform contact across its entire surface.
The photograph shows a light brown part with a fibrous appearance and a slightly rough texture, precisely cut with several circular holes distributed around its edge that line up with the cover's mounting points.
As a wear part, it should be replaced every time the right-hand control cover is removed, since a reused gasket loses part of its sealing capacity and can cause small leaks with continued engine use.
