It is a moulded technical plastic part, with a contour that fits closely to the engine case and reinforcing ribs on its inner face that give it rigidity and impact resistance without adding unnecessary weight to the assembly.
The photo shows a matte black finished part with a curved shape and a smooth visible face, designed to sit discreetly alongside the rest of the engine covers. The structural reinforcements are visible around the perimeter of the part.
Once fitted, it keeps the front sprocket area protected from dirt and the impacts typical of off-road use, helping to keep both the sprocket and the nearby drive chain in good condition.
