This KTM rear wheel hub is the central piece of the rear wheel, the component that houses the bearings and transmits the rotation of the sprocket to the tyre. It is a replacement part for anyone needing to replace the original rear wheel core, whether due to wear, repair after a crash, or as part of a complete rear end overhaul.
It is a single-piece machined body, with the spoke mounting holes distributed around the perimeter, the central seat for the bearings and spacers, and the corresponding mounts for the brake disc and the sprocket carrier. The machining shows precision surfaces in the seating and centring areas, as befits a component that must keep the wheel balanced and aligned with the swingarm.
The photo shows a cylindrical body with a matte silver finish, a machined surface with reinforcing ribs and the spoke mounting holes perfectly aligned around the whole circumference, as well as the central recess where the bearings sit.
Fitted to the rear wheel, this hub bears much of the torsion and braking loads, so its condition directly affects wheel play, smoothness of rotation, and the correct fitting of the brake disc and sprocket.
