This exhaust control cover gasket is a KTM PowerParts spare part designed to seal the joint between the cover and the crankcase in the area of the exhaust-side timing control, for those carrying out removal of this cover during engine maintenance.
It is made from flat gasket material, of the type typical for this kind of seal, cut to the exact outline of the cover along with the cutouts for the mounting screws and the internal passages it must cross.
The photograph shows a flat gasket in light brown, with a thin, uniform thickness, and the outline precisely cut to follow the shape of the cover, including the holes for the mounting screws.
Replacing this gasket every time the cover is removed prevents oil leaks in that area of the engine and ensures a correct seal when reassembling the unit.
