The Factory Racing left footpeg is the footrest that KTM fits to its rally-raid competition bikes, now available as a spare part for riders seeking the same foothold used by the factory team riders at the Dakar. It pairs with the right-hand footpeg and is fitted on the left side of the bike.
It is made from stainless steel and carries EC-V approval, along with the backing of being a part used by the Factory Racing team itself. Its geometry increases the support surface compared to a conventional footpeg, resulting in greater boot contact on the platform and a firmer grip when riding standing up.
The photo shows a wide, sturdy platform with a serrated texture across its entire surface to bite into the boot sole, several drainage holes to clear mud and water, and a matte metallic finish typical of unpolished stainless steel.
In use, this larger support surface is especially noticeable when riding standing up on off-road sections or trails, where it provides more control and security, reducing the effort needed to hold the riding position over long stretches.
