The shank is an internal reinforcement piece that forms part of the construction of Powerwear boots, located in the sole or heel area, between the insole and the outer base of the boot. It is a replacement component for anyone needing to restore the boot's original stiffness after prolonged wear.
It is a rigid piece inserted inside the sole, providing structure and resistance to flexing in the area where the foot rests while riding. Its shape follows the contour of the sole of the foot, adapting to the profile of the boot it is fitted into.
