This magnetic drain bolt, reference 0025080606S, is the part that seals the drain hole of the crankcase or oil tank and, thanks to the magnet built into its tip, retains the metal particles suspended in the lubricant. It is a common replacement part at every oil change.
It features an M8X60 thread and a head with an ISA 40 internal hex, and is made of stainless steel (SS), a material that holds up well to continuous contact with used oil and the metal debris drawn in by the magnet.
The photo shows the cylindrical threaded body, the internal hex head and, on the shank, the magnet housed at the end opposite the thread, with a uniform metallic finish and no colour coating.
With the magnet built directly into the drain bolt, every oil drain also removes the metal filings that have collected at the bottom of the crankcase, with no need to fit a separate magnet.
