The clutch pressure plate is a central part of KTM's clutch assembly, included in the PowerParts clutch spares range, aimed at anyone repairing or tuning up their bike's clutch system. It is the element responsible for applying spring force onto the disc pack to transmit engine torque.
It is a circular metal plate of considerable thickness, with one face machined to provide uniform bearing against the top clutch disc, and with the corresponding seats for the springs and the assembly's anchor screws.
The photo shows a sturdy part with a plain silver metallic finish, with a machined surface and several holes distributed symmetrically around its circumference, corresponding to the clutch springs' mounting points.
This pressure plate transmits spring force onto the clutch disc pack, being the element that allows the clutch lever to progressively modulate engagement and disengagement of the transmission.
