This edge protection belongs to KTM's PowerParts range of bodywork protection accessories, aimed at riders who want to prevent marks and premature wear on the edges of plastics and tanks during daily use or competition.
It is made from an elastic, abrasion-resistant material designed to absorb small knocks and rubbing on the most exposed edge areas, without adding extra stiffness to the part it is fitted to. Its profile is designed to follow the contour of the edge it protects, staying firmly and durably in place.
The image shows a narrow, elongated strip in matte black, with a U-shaped cross-section that wraps around the edge of the part it is intended for.
Once fitted, this edge protection reduces direct contact between the edge of the bodywork and external elements, delaying the appearance of scratches and small chips on the original plastics.
