This complete cylinder and piston assembly is an engine part for anyone needing to repair or rebuild their KTM's engine block after significant wear, internal failure or a thorough overhaul. It is supplied as a complete unit, with the cylinder and piston already assembled together, within the PowerParts engine spares range.
The cylinder features the inner bore lining along which the piston travels, while the piston arrives already fitted with its corresponding sealing components, ready for installation in the crankcase. Being a complete assembly avoids having to match the cylinder and piston separately, reducing the risk of incorrect clearances during fitting.
The photo shows the cylinder body with its cooling fins machined on the outside, characteristic of air-cooled engines or those combined with liquid cooling, and the piston visible from the lower end with its crown and skirt exposed. The metallic finish shows the machining marks typical of the joining areas and the oil or coolant passage channels.
Installing this assembly restores correct compression and sealing in the combustion chamber, returning the engine to operating conditions equivalent to factory specification in the cylinder and piston area.
