The KTM steering head bearing is the rolling element that allows smooth rotation of the handlebar and fork on the chassis, a replacement part within the steering category fitted when play, stiffness or noise appears when turning the handlebar.
It is a tapered roller bearing, made from hardened steel, designed to withstand both the radial loads and the axial forces generated in the steering head during riding and braking. Its tapered design allows the preload to be adjusted to eliminate play without introducing excessive friction.
