This cylinder base gasket, 0.20 mm thick, belongs to the PowerParts range and is designed for engine assembly or rebuilding, at the point where the cylinder sits on the crankcase. The thickness value identifying the reference allows the correct gasket to be selected according to the dimensional adjustment the assembly requires.
It is made from a metal-based composite material, able to withstand the pressure and heat generated in that area of the engine without deforming or losing its seal. Its cut-out shape precisely reproduces the layout of the transfer ports and the holes for the cylinder mounting bolts, so it can only be fitted in the correct position.
The photo shows a thin, metallic grey sheet with a smooth surface, a trimmed outline following the irregular perimeter of the crankcase, and round perforations distributed for the bolts to pass through.
With this gasket, an airtight seal is achieved between cylinder and crankcase, preventing oil leaks and ensuring that engine compression stays at the values intended for this setting.
