This hot-start lever is the control that activates the engine's hot-start system, a replacement part for anyone needing to replace the original control due to wear or breakage. It is fitted near the handlebar or next to the throttle body, depending on each bike's configuration, within the KTM PowerParts range.
Its function is to pull a cable that opens an auxiliary air valve, making it easier to start the engine when it is hot and there is excess mixture in the combustion chamber, a common feature in off-road engines.

Fitting it restores correct hot-start operation, preventing the engine from flooding on restarts after short stops while the engine is still at operating temperature.
