This plastic washer is a support piece placed under screws or rivets at points on the fairing and other components where direct contact between metal and a more delicate surface should be avoided. It is part of the small PowerParts items commonly used when fitting plastics.
Being made of plastic rather than metal, it spreads the clamping pressure without transmitting as much rigidity to the anchor point, which helps prevent cracks in the material it is fixed to, especially useful on bodywork parts or plastic brackets.

Using this washer at the right point protects the supporting material during tightening and helps the assembly sit properly without play or deformation at the fixing area.
