This KTM collar screw is the fastener responsible for closing and tightening the collar or clamp around the element it secures, ensuring it stays firmly fixed in its mounting position. It is a replacement part of interest to anyone needing to replace the original screw due to worn threads or loss of the part during a workshop job.
It is a metric thread screw with a head designed for a tightening tool, whose function is to generate the clamping tension needed on the collar without damaging the surrounding material. Its design follows the original fastener standard used at this point of the steering assembly.
The photograph shows a small screw with a cylindrical head and internal hex drive and a silver-toned metal finish, with the threaded shank visible along its entire length, under reference 54801036100.
Once fitted in place, this screw ensures the collar closes correctly, keeping the assembly securely held and preventing unwanted play or movement during use of the motorcycle.
