This damper is a small suspension system component, included in KTM's PowerParts catalogue, that acts as an elastic stop at the end of the shock absorber or fork travel. It is a replacement part for riders who need to swap out a stop that has worn down or hardened with use.
According to the feature sheet, it is supplied in black, the finish typical of the elastomeric material used in this type of stop, capable of absorbing the final impact of compression without transmitting harsh shock to the drivetrain.
The image shows a small, cylindrical, matte black part with the smooth surface typical of a moulded rubber component, with no visible markings.
Once fitted in position, it cushions the end stop of the suspension travel, softening the sharp jolt at moments of maximum compression and thereby protecting the rest of the suspension assembly.
