This M25 X 1.5 collar nut is the original KTM fastener needed to mount the crash bung kit, holding the assembly firmly onto the engine case or chassis with the strength needed to absorb a side impact.

It is a nut with an integrated collar, with a metric thread of 25 millimeters in diameter and a 1.5 millimeter pitch, made of steel and carrying HOMNN_EU approval. The collar at its base widens the bearing surface and distributes the clamping load over the anchoring point, providing greater resistance against loosening.

The photo shows its hexagonal body with the circular collar at the base, a metallic finish and the internal thread visible through the central hole.

Used to fit the crash bung kit, its function is to firmly secure the assembly so it can do its job in the event of a tip-over or low-speed fall, which is why the original approved nut should always be used in this position.
